About

Today, airlines are using out-of-date systems to manage aircraft ground operations. Some airlines are still using pen and paper because there is no proven system in this niche market.
At Tarmac Technologies, we build an aircraft ground operations tool to bring the latest technologies to them. In doing so, we are reducing flight delays and offering seamless operations. Our system is deployed in over 200 airports around the world!
Founded in 2019, Tarmac Technologies has quickly convinced major airlines and continues to grow rapidly.
Made up of a dynamic team brought together by the passion for aviation, the office is in the 1st district of Paris. We are looking for open-minded and hard-working individuals who want to bring the digital revolution to the air transport industry!

Job Description

As a Product and Integrations Engineer, you will join our Product team, which is responsible for the design, development, launch, and ongoing management of our product. In collaboration with our technical team, you’ll also lead the implementation of new integrations with external systems and maintain existing ones.

You’ll play a central role in cross-functional projects, working closely with teams across the company (tech, product, operations, etc.). You’ll likely be involved in both product enhancements and integrations that benefit all our clients.

New third-party system integrations (40%)

  • Own the prioritization and scheduling of new system integrations.

  • Liaise with clients' technical teams to collect information about the data to be exchanged, as well as access credentials and technical documentation.

  • Draft internal technical documentation based on available information and our existing infrastructure, to support integration with client and partner systems.

  • Collaborate with the technical teams—especially back-end developers—to implement and deploy integrations into production.

Maintenance and improvement of existing integrations (40%)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to existing integrations.

  • Identify and implement improvements to ensure and enhance the quality and reliability of data exchanges.

  • Set up and maintain monitoring systems to proactively detect integration errors.

  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, and collaborate with the Ops team to ensure a clear understanding of automatically available data on each flight.

Product improvement (20%)

  • Contribute actively to strategic discussions, product design, and the optimization of our data management practices.

  • Work with the Product team on the implementation of new features.

  • Help develop new internal tools to strengthen our operational capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • You are a graduate of an engineering school (or equivalent) at the Master’s level, or you're currently seeking a final-year internship from an engineering program.

  • You are proficient in one or more programming languages, ideally Python.

  • You embody values such as commitment, a drive for excellence, accountability, trust, active listening, and customer satisfaction.

  • You enjoy strategic thinking and are eager to bring ideas to life by getting hands-on with operational challenges.

  • Ideally, you have previous experience in a demanding environment (e.g., a tech or ops team within a startup or large organization, a consulting firm, etc.).

  • You are fluent in both spoken and written English.

Additional assets :

  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platforms.

  • Experience working with HTTP APIs and/or other data exchange protocols.

  • Previous experience in the airline industry is a plus—but above all, we're looking for someone curious and eager to learn.

Recruitment Process

  1. Introductory call with a team member to get to know each other and give you an overview of the role.

  2. Case study to complete asynchronously, followed by a one-hour interview to present your work and discuss it together.

  3. On-site visit to our offices in Paris (1st arrondissement) to meet Maud and Anthoine, co-founders of Tarmac Technologies.

  4. Welcome aboard! 🎉
