Mithril Security is a deep tech startup specializing in cybersecurity solutions that ensure data confidentiality and model protection in AI processes. We utilize secure enclaves (secure environment protection by encryption) to deploy AI algorithms safely, enhancing user privacy and security.

Our Confidential AI technology has gained recognition among key industry players. Notably, the OpenAI Cybersecurity Grant Program has supported our work, funding our R&D efforts to deploy AI models securely in enclaves. We were the first ones to create a Confidential AI inference open-source solution. Additionally, we are working with the Future of Life Institute on developing hardware-backed AI governance tooling.

Accelerated by the prestigious UC Berkeley SkyDeck program and 42, Mithril Security has rapidly grown. Our dynamic team of AI cybersecurity experts has successfully secured $1.4M in pre-seed funding from US and European investors.

Currently based in a coworking space in Paris (13th arrondissement, near Square René Le Gall), we are a young team brought together by a passion for tech, soon relocating to the 8th arrondissement of Paris, with regular after-work events.

Job Description

Your job:

You will be part of our cybersecurity team. You will be in charge of implementing the security architecture. The main purpose of this role is to deploy our secure enclave and improve the secure deployment of the AI inference server.

The first big project will be testing solutions for deploying a Confidential environment inside a Kubernetes cluster. Modifying the core of Kubernetes will be a big part of the job.

This role welcomes candidates who may be junior but possess a strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly, especially in the realm of Confidential Computing, leveraging the resources provided by Mithril Security.

Technical environment:

Our technical environment primarily revolves around Rust, Python, and Go.

We utilize Confidential Computing platforms such as AMD SEV-SNP, Intel TDX, and Hopper 100 GPUs in conjunction with cybersecurity and networking concepts. Azure and GCP are our primary hosting platforms, and GitHub is our collaboration tool.

Skills and knowledge:

Essential skills:

  • Proficiency in one of the following languages: Rust or GO

  • Excellent ability with cloud stack including Kubernetes and Terraform is mandatory

In addition, these elements will be valuable for this application:

  • Cybersecurity knowledge is preferred.

  • Cloud security knowledge is a big plus.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

  • A junior profile will be accepted, but experiences are favored.

Other requirements:

  • Candidates must work in person with the cybersécurity team in France in Paris 13th.

  • Mandatory presence in the office for 3 days a week.

  • You need to speak English (B2+ minimum). French is optional.

We start by giving you a take-home assignment to evaluate your ability to learn new concepts fast, solve problems, and your autonomy. You are expected to set your own timeline for the assignment. Speed in completing tasks is valuable, but the skill of establishing and meeting deadlines is paramount.
