Job Description

Join a stellar team of leaders and experts in blockchain technology, cryptography, infrastructure, and security to build the backbone of blockchain wallet infrastructure for the next financial era. Dfns is hiring a Trust & Compliance Officer to manage our security frameworks and global regulatory requirements. Reporting to the CISO, you’ll make sure Dfns meets the highest standards of trust, resilience, and compliance. You’ll run key frameworks (NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 22310, CCSS Level 3, etc.) and align our practices with financial and digital asset regulations worldwide (DORA, FISMA, MiCA, BVLA, and more). This role calls for both precision and adaptability. You’ll design and enforce compliance programs, lead audits, and act as the main point of contact for clients and regulators on trust and security. You’ll also work closely with product and security teams to integrate compliance into our workflows, and support clients in meeting their own regulatory obligations through Dfns’ infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance programs across multiple frameworks (NIST, SOC, ISO, etc.).

  • Monitor global regulatory requirements (FISMA, MiCA, BVLA, etc.), ensure readiness.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, certifications, and assessments.

  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and docs to meet compliance obligations.

  • Partner with product to integrate compliance into architecture, operations, and features.

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, regulators, and auditors on compliance matters.

  • Conduct risk assessments, recommend improvements to our security and trust posture.

  • Deliver internal training and promote a culture of security and compliance at Dfns.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in compliance, information security, and/or risk in finance.

  • Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST.

  • Strong understanding of global regulatory regimes including MiCA and GENIUS.

  • Proven success leading audits, managing certifications, and interacting with regulators.

  • Familiarity with PKI, cloud infrastructure and secure software development practices.

  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with tech and business teams, translating requirements into clear actions.

  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or ISO Lead Auditor are a plus.
