Directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the General Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing general & supplier accounting activities. This role supervises the production of accounting reports, ensures the accuracy of the accounts, and serves as one of the key points of contact for internal and external accounting matters.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of navigating start-up phases, and managing complexity in an international environment.

General and Supplier Accounting:

  • Daily Operations: Oversee daily accounting operations ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

  • Monthly and Annual Reporting: Coordinate the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of necessary documentation for auditors.

  • Supervise the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, accounting, and payment;

  • Optimize the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process;

  • Manage relationships with suppliers on accounting issues;

  • Monitor payment deadlines and program payments.

  • Ensure adherence to international accounting standards and local regulations in all operating countries;

  • Stay informed on accounting and tax regulatory changes;

  • Update accounting rules and chart of accounts in response to regulatory, organizational, and business changes;

Treasury Management:

  • Manage cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliation;

  • Lead cash flow reporting and short term forecasting for the group;

  • Handle currency-related issues;

  • Manage intra-group cash flows;

Tools and Processes:

  • Monitor and guide system changes to be implemented in the ERP (Netsuite) in collaboration with partners;

  • Master internal procedures, apply them, and update them/create new ones.

Internal and External Relations Management:

  • Serve as one of the points of contact for auditors, accountants, or others;

  • Act as one of the main point of contact on accounting matters for the Finance Department and other departments;

  • Manage the relationship with tax authorities.

  • Establishment and declaration of tax reporting obligations: VAT, CVAE, CFE, IS, etc.

  • Manage the relationship with legal department on Corporate Legal and Regulatory Compliance matters;

Management:

  • Manage and develop a team of 2 in accounts payable/general accounting;

  • Define objectives and guide the team;

  • Provide direction and perspective to the team, and share expertise/upskill team members.

Profil recherché

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in accounting,

  • Fluent in English and French

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;

  • Proven experience in scaling accounting operations during periods of rapid growth, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and office tools (Excel, Google Sheets, ERP, cash management tools, etc.);

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.

  • Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and multi-country compliance requirements;

  • Experience in consolidation is a plus;

  • Experience in Netsuite/Yooz is a plus;

  • Experience in transfer pricing is a plus;

  • Team management experience is a plus;
