Job Description

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Partner with scientific and leadership teams across North America and Europe to understand talent needs and challenges.

  • Design and implement global recruitment strategies to attract top-tier candidates in competitive markets.

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding, ensuring alignment with regional requirements.

  • Build and sustain a robust talent pipeline through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and international events.

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by maintaining timely and transparent communication across all stages of the hiring process.

  • Utilize data and analytics to continuously assess and enhance recruitment outcomes, making informed, data-driven decisions to keep our strategies effective and flexible.

University and Industry Relations:

  • Establish a strategic partnership plan with relevant universities that aligns with our global goals.

  • Manage and expand partnerships with key academic institutions, and lead initiatives that engage with top schools with relevant passive candidates for DeepTech and life sciences across North America and Europe.

  • Represent WLG as a brand ambassador in recruitment efforts, collaborating with leading universities to host forums, roundtables, and global recruitment events.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, and HR teams to promote the employer brand and execute events that boost WLG's global visibility.

Onboarding and Integration:

  • Lead the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a smooth transition across different regions.

  • Coordinate the integration and training of new employees in collaboration with HR, ensuring consistency across our global offices.

Industry Knowledge and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in talent acquisition across global markets.

  • Collaborate on various Talent Acquisition and HR initiatives to drive continuous improvement and optimize recruitment processes worldwide.

Preferred Experience

Global Talent Acquisition Expertise:

  • You have proven experience in international talent acquisition, especially within the DeepTech and/or life sciences industry, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.

  • You excel at sourcing highly technical and specialized talent through diverse channels beyond LinkedIn, such as industry events & conferences, and academic networks, and possess an extensive network within the DeepTech community - global startup experience would be a huge plus

  • You are an expert in leveraging LinkedIn and have pioneered innovative strategies for global talent acquisition

  • You thrive at managing multiple recruitment processes simultaneously (handling 4 to 6 different roles at once) across various regions, including North America and Europe.

  • Familiarity with innovative hiring methodologies (e.g., AI-recruitment tools, LinkedIn drip campaigns) is a strong advantage.

Language and Cross-Regional Skills:

  • You are fluent in English and adept at communicating across different languages and cultural settings. Proficiency in French would be a plus!

Coaching and Global Community Engagement:

  • You have a deep understanding of the DeepTech and life sciences communities in France, North America, and beyond, and you can effectively guide candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial HR Video Call: A first conversation with a member of our HR team to assess fit and discuss your experience.

  • Video Call with Chief of Staff: A follow-up interview to delve deeper into your qualifications and how they align with the role.

  • On-Site Visit: Meet with the HR team and our Head of People & Culture for in-person discussions and to experience our company culture.

  • PI Test & Case Study: Complete a Predictive Index (PI) test, followed by a case study assessment.

  • Final Interview with the CEO: A concluding meeting with our CEO to discuss your vision and potential contribution to the company.
