Job Description

As a Scientific Project Manager with expertise in gene therapy, bioproduction, experimental validaation; you will be responsible for the coordination of proposal writing for clients, for delivery of scientific projects and grant support. As SPM you are bridging our research teams, external partners, and clients. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the scientific rigor, and operational excellence of projects involving viral and non-viral vectors, molecular libraries, and preclinical validation studies.

Duties :

Project Management

  • Capture and scope client needs in gene therapy and bioproduction projects to write scientific proposals aligned with internal scientific capabilities (high-level estimations of resources, time, and budget).

  • Define and manage internal and client-driven deliverables: timelines, scope, budget, and resources across functional teams (Biology, Computational Biology, Data Science).

  • Anticipate risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

  • Use centralized tools such as http://Monday.com to manage portfolios of offerings, deliveries, and grants.

  • Interest in integrating tools via APIs (e.g., connecting HR software for holiday tracking or CRM for new offerings). Familiarity with automation platforms like Make is a plus.

  • Knowledge of PMI and Agile methodologies is appreciated.

Scientific Expertise

  • Collaborate with scientific teams to understand and facilitate discussions from computational in silico insights to experimental validation designs.

  • Monitor scientific advances in gene therapy and propose innovative approaches to strengthen project outcomes.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, academic partners, and clients.

  • Present project progress, findings, and scientific insights to internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Contribute to drafting reports, grants, and scientific communications.

  • Provide feedback to enhance processes, data management, and project delivery practices.


Preferred Experience

  • Education: PhD or MSc in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Virology, Vectorology or related fields.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in gene therapy / bioproduction, with experience in experimental validation (in vitro/in vivo) and data interpretation.

  • Proven track record in scientific project management, Agile methodology, ideally in biotech/pharma. Software: Monday.com, Make, GenAI

  • Strong knowledge of vector development, delivery systems, and data validation workflows.

  • Experience managing external collaborations (clients, research partners, CROs).

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Fluent in English (French is a plus).

Recruitment Process

  • Introductory meeting (30 minutes) with the People & Culture team.

  • Video call (45 minutes) with the Head of SPM.

  • On-site face-to-face interviews with the different departments.

  • PI behavioral assessment.

  • Reference checks (minimum of 2 references required).
