Job Description

As a Founding Sales Lead – US at Thunders, you will be responsible for driving new business growth in the United States and helping establish our commercial presence in the market.

We are looking, first and foremost, for an exceptional Account Executive who can execute, close deals, and build pipeline from scratch, while also being able to think strategically and help shape our go-to-market as we scale.

This is a hands-on role. You will own deals end-to-end, work directly with customers and partners, and help build the foundations of our US sales engine.

You will work closely with our CRO, marketing, and product teams to identify opportunities, close deals, and turn early traction into repeatable revenue.

This is a high-impact role for a doer with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the US team expands.

Preferred Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Thunders’ US go-to-market while being hands-on in execution

  • Own the full sales cycle, from outbound and cold calls to closing deals with CTOs, CPOs, and VP Engineering

  • Land our first US customers and turn early traction into repeatable revenue

  • Run demos with customers and partners, attend events, and generate pipeline yourself

  • Contribute to playbooks, enablement content, and sales processes as we build the US motion

Mandatory Requirements

  • Strong experience in B2B SaaS sales, with enterprise deals

  • Proven track record closing complex deals with technical buyers (CTOs, VP Eng, QA, IT…)

  • Comfortable building pipeline from scratch (cold calls, outbound, events, demos)

  • Hands-on mindset — you enjoy selling, not just managing

  • Strong technical curiosity. You like understanding how the product works

  • Not afraid to get hands-on, including getting certified as a software tester if needed

  • Strong ownership mindset and entrepreneurial drive

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills

  • Passion for AI and habit of using AI tools in your daily work

  • Highly organized with strong pipeline management discipline

Extra Credits

  • Experience as Founding AE / early sales hire at a startup

  • Experience selling developer tools, testing, DevOps, or AI products

  • Experience launching a new market or territory

  • Strong network in engineering / product / QA communities

  • Experience contributing to GTM strategy or sales playbooks
