Founding GTM Engineer

Job Description

At Sillage, we’re building the future of sales intelligence by turning raw market data into actionable buying signals. As a GTM Engineer, you’ll join our CTO’s team and play a central role in expanding the breadth and depth of our signal platform. We recently launched and are growing fast.

Your mission will be to:

  • Develop and prototype new signals that help sales teams reach the right prospects at the right time.

  • Work closely with the CTO to design, validate, and integrate these signals into our platform.

  • Collaborate with early customers to test signals in real-world prospecting sessions, measure their impact and improve activation.

  • Ensure smooth integration of new signals into our data pipeline and front-end experience.

  • Act as a bridge between technical development and go-to-market experimentation, making sure what we build is truly useful to sales reps.

This role is highly cross-functional: you’ll be hands-on with data engineering and product experimentation, while staying close to customer use cases.

Preferred Experience

We’re looking for someone curious, scrappy, and excited to build in an early-stage startup environment. You might not tick every box, but here’s what would help you succeed:

  • Experience in data engineering, data ops, or sales ops roles, ideally in a SaaS context.

  • Ability to design and test data workflows (e.g., APIs, scraping, enrichment).

  • Familiarity with sales processes, prospecting workflows, or CRM tools.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset: you can go from an abstract “buying signal” idea to a prototype and then to production with the team.

Above all, we value curiosity, kindness, and a genuine interest in building the next French unicorn.

Recruitment Process

We want to keep the process simple and human:

  1. Intro call (30 min) – Meet the CEO to get to know each other and discuss your motivations.

  2. Technical conversation (45 min) – Deep dive with the CTO to discuss your experience and explore how you’d approach building signals.

  3. Practical case – A short exercise to brainstorm/develop a new potential signal and how you’d test it.

  4. Final chat – Meet the broader team, discuss culture fit, and answer any open questions.

We move fast and adapt the process if needed. Our goal: both sides should feel this is a great match.
