Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will join the Tech team at PlayPlay. You will focus on ensuring the quality of our product through both manual and automated testing, while gradually learning and contributing to broader quality coaching and processes across teams.

YOUR MISSIONS💪

Contribute to a culture of quality within your team

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and implement effective testing strategies.
  • Identify and document acceptance criteria and boundary cases for new features.
  • Support developers in functional validation and in applying best practices for quality assurance.
  • Gradually contribute to quality coaching initiatives with guidance from senior team members.
  • Manual and exploratory testing

  • Participate in validating developments within your team, ensuring features meet the highest standards.
  • Learn the application’s functionality in depth to create relevant and efficient test cases.
  • Optimize testing processes within the team, including tooling and workflows.
  • Test automation

  • Write and maintain end-to-end tests using Cypress / Cucumber, with guidance from senior team members.
  • In collaboration with the developers, optimize our technical set-up to facilitate test writing and improve their robustness.
  • Coach the developers on writing new scenarios, as well as debugging and updating existing end-to-end tests, for features delivered by your team.
  • Support the improvement of our automation setup to make testing faster and more reliable.
  • Monitor and improve E2E & production quality stability

  • Assist in Cypress monitoring and issue tracking, learning to identify trends and share insights.
  • REQUIREMENTS 🎯

  • Basic experience in an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.) or JavaScript development.
  • Basic understanding of how a website works, including the flow of requests and responses between the user and the server.
  • An eagerness to learn how to set up test suites in continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Docker).
