OVRSEA has successfully launched and established its presence in Italy. After building the business from scratch, we are entering a new phase: scaling sustainably, improving profitability, and reinforcing our market position.
We are now looking for a talented Country Manager to lead OVRSEA Italy into its next chapter of disciplined growth and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the founders, you will take full P&L responsibility for the Italian entity and drive performance across sales and operations.
Through a very entrepreneurial approach, your main objective is to contribute to OVRSEA’s European leadership.
🎯 Your Responsibilities
1️⃣ Full P&L Ownership
Own revenue growth, gross margin, and EBITDA targets
Improve contribution margin per shipment and customer
Ensure strict cost control and productivity per FTE
Build quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with HQ
2️⃣ Revenue Acceleration & Customer Expansion
Strengthen our position in core verticals
Improve win rates and pipeline predictability
Ensure disciplined pricing and margin protection
3️⃣ Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead and develop a structured local team (Sales, BDR, Operations)
Drive a performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability
Coach managers and identify future leaders
Ensure high retention of top performers
Recruit where needed new top talent to the team
4️⃣ Operational Excellence
Collaborate with central procurement and operations teams to improve service quality
Optimise trade lane strategy and carrier allocation
Improve forecasting accuracy and capacity planning
Ensure best-in-class customer experience
5️⃣ Strategic Representation
Act as OVRSEA’s senior representative in Italy
Maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
Identify M&A, partnerships, or strategic expansion opportunities

10+ years of experience in demanding environments (freight forwarding, logistics, startup ...)Proven track record of scaling revenue beyond initial launch phaseStrong financial acumen with clear understanding of P&L mechanicsData-driven and performance-oriented
