Job Description

As a founder engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our product development, playing a pivotal role in shaping our technology and company culture. You'll work directly with the founding team to drive our vision forward, leading the charge in building scalable, innovative solutions that will redefine the industry.

As a key member of our founding team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Architecting and implementing robust, scalable, and secure software solutions from the ground up

  • Leading the development of our core platform, including both front-end and back-end components

  • Establishing best practices for code quality, performance optimization, and technical documentation

  • Mentoring and growing the engineering team as we scale

  • Collaborating with leadership to define technical strategy and product roadmap

  • Spearheading the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies into our platform

Preferred Experience

  • You have 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of building and scaling complex systems 🛠️

  • You're a visionary technologist with a startup mindset, capable of turning ideas into reality through elegant, efficient code 🚀

  • You have deep expertise in Python, with extensive experience in backend development, distributed systems, API design, and performance optimization at scale

  • You're proficient in modern front-end technologies, particularly Vue.js, Tailwind, and JavaScript, with a keen eye for creating intuitive, responsive user interfaces

  • You have hands-on experience integrating and implementing AI/ML technologies in production environments

  • You're a natural leader, able to inspire and guide a team of engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

  • You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are excited by the challenges of building a company from the ground up

Recruitment Process

  • Initial Application

  • Technical Deep Dive (2 hours)

    • A comprehensive technical session with our core engineering team

    • This will include:

      • Discussion of your past projects and technical decisions
      • Collaborative problem-solving on real challenges we're facing
      • High-level system design exercise relevant to our platform
      • Code review and architecture discussion

  • Leadership and Vision Round (1 hour)

    • Meet with other founders and key stakeholders
    • Present your vision for our technical roadmap and scaling strategy
    • Discuss your approach to building and leading engineering teams

  • Your specific role and responsibilities

  • Compensation package and equity structure
