About

🏔️ Our vision

The promise of AI agents is still unmet in complex, real-world business environments. Our mission is to make it possible for agents to reliably accomplish concrete and useful tasks.

That’s why we're building Alexandria, the world's largest library of real-world business workflow datasets.

Over the next 6 months, build our we'll acquire and anonymize 300+ full data ecosystems from real-world companies. This will allow us to become the leader of real business workflow data.

This summer we need to build our elite squad to move extremely fast and confirm our leading position on company data.

🤝 Our values

  • Trust, the foundation of every relationship, internal and external. We extend it by default and value the ownership that comes with it.
  • Ambition, we commit, we move fast, with tenacity and efficiency.
  • Collective, team first, low ego.
  • Kindness, at the heart of every interaction.

We're building a solid, aligned, and motivated team.

Our traction speaks for itself: we've signed contracts with some of the largest AI labs in the world, alongside recent partnerships with several smaller labs, all while being 100% bootstrapped. This summer, we're joining Y Combinator, which is accelerating everything.

Job Description

The company

Ooak Data turns company data into training data for AI agents.

Frontier labs can train models to reason. They cannot train them to work: navigating a real company's Slack threads, half-finished Notion docs, contradictory Jira tickets, and permission boundaries. That requires real enterprise data, and you cannot synthesize it. You have to source it.

We plug into enterprise tools, anonymize everything into a structurally identical digital twin, and generate reinforcement-learning environments with expert-level tasks calibrated against frontier models. Three weeks from raw company data to an RL-ready environment, three times faster than at launch.

We are a Y Combinator company with signed contracts with three frontier AI labs, and we are scaling delivery aggressively over the next twelve months. Three founders, full-time since December 2025: Pierre-Louis (CEO, ex-COO in edtech, sold data to frontier labs), Grégoire (CPO, first PM at Epsor through Series B), Thomas (CTO, ex-Head of Data at PayLead, ex-Samsung AI lab).

Why this role exists

The three of us are the bottleneck.

Our contracted delivery volume is growing by an order of magnitude. That means more data partnerships to close, more people to hire, more contracts to paper, more cash to manage, and a delivery program that has to run on time across multiple customers simultaneously. Right now all of that lands on three founders who should be spending their time on product, technology, and customers.

We are hiring a Chief of Staff to take the operating company off the founders' desks and run it properly. This is not a support role, and it is not a strategy role. It is an ownership role: you will be accountable for whether the company can actually execute.

What you will own

Strategic projects

  • Take ownership of important cross-functional projects that don't clearly belong to one department.

  • Run analyses, investigate new opportunities, launch initiatives, or solve temporary problems.

  • Often operates as a temporary project owner until a permanent owner is appointed.

Operating cadence

  • Build the company's operating rhythm: help orchestrate OKRs, quarterly planning, board preparation, etc.

  • Ensure decisions made at the top actually propagate through the organization.

Executive-team coordination

  • Make sure leadership is aligned on priorities.

  • Track decisions, owners, deadlines, and unresolved issues.

  • Surface disagreements or bottlenecks to the CEO.

Special situations

  • Fundraising preparation, board materials, M&A or partnerships.

  • Hiring key executives, organizational changes, new vertical launches.

Preferred Experience

Who you are

  • 5-10 years of experience, with real operating time inside a fast-scaling startup.

  • You have owned outcomes, not workstreams. Somewhere in your history there is a thing that worked because you were responsible for it.

  • Comfortable with numbers. You build the model yourself. You are not intimidated by a cash-flow forecast, a margin analysis, or a contract's payment terms.

  • High tolerance for ambiguity, low tolerance for drift. Our priorities will change on short notice. You should find that energising, and you should still ship.

  • Fluent French and English. Our customers are American, our data partners are European, our team speaks both.

  • Based in Paris.

Terms

  • Compensation: competitive salary plus meaningful equity. We index high on equity for early hires and we will be transparent about the numbers in the first conversation.

    • €80-100k + bonus
    • 0.5%-1% equity
  • Location: Paris, on-site 4+ days per week, with regular travel to San Francisco.

  • Start date: as soon as you can.

Recruitment Process

Process

  1. 30 min with Pierre-Louis (CEO): mutual fit, what you have actually run.

  2. 2h business case in house with Grégoire and Pierre-Louis: a live problem from our current operating reality.

  3. 60 min fit interview with 2 cofounders.

  4. References.

We aim to go from first conversation to offer in under three weeks.
