Job Description

Neurobus is developing cutting-edge vision solutions and systems, leveraging neuromorphic technologies to enhance the intelligence and efficiency of embedded devices and robots in the Space and Defense sectors. A crucial challenge is designing and industrializing efficient, robust, and integrated custom payloads that host a variety of sensors and processing platforms.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior System Engineer to join our growing engineering team and lead the definition, development, and industrialization of our vision payloads. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of embedded vision systems and contribute to impactful projects in critical sectors.

🎯 What You’ll Do

As a Senior System Engineer at Neurobus, you will:

  • Lead Payload Development: Drive the prototyping and development of Neurobus’ perception and guidance systems, with a particular focus on development speed and intermediate milestones.

  • Optimize Performance: Utilize short iterative cycles to explore and implement approaches that improve performance indicators, including processing capacity, latency, and power consumption.

  • Foster External Engagement: Participate in meetings with partners, customers, and prospects, contributing to the clarification of use cases, requirements, and interfaces.

  • Define Specifications: Lead the definition and negotiation of payload specifications, aligning with product and engineering needs.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with artificial intelligence experts and product owners to refine design and architectural choices.

  • Guide Technology and Team Maturity: Contribute to the recruitment and mentorship of junior collaborators, define the engineering roadmap, and drive the industrialization of the technology.

  • Stay Current: Monitor advancements in conventional and neuromorphic systems to inform our roadmap.


🧑‍💻 What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in system engineering with a focus on edge intelligence systems.

  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex vision-based AI systems.

  • Experience negotiating specifications and interfaces with external customers/partners.

  • Experience with the industrialization process of embedded vision platforms.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Fluency in English.

Bonus Points

  • 10+ years of experience in the embedded vision industry.

  • Experience in the aerial robotics, space, or defense industries.

  • Familiarity with neuromorphic hardware components (Brainchip Akida processor, Prophesee event vision sensors).

  • Experience integrating edge AI accelerators (mobile GPU, DSP, FPGA).

  • Experience with custom kernel and user-space embedded software.

  • Experience with custom mechatronics development.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
