At Neurobus, you will play a pivotal role in the "cat and mouse" game of modern autonomous security. As our Field Test Engineer, you will bridge the gap between aerial robotics and advanced ground defense. You won't just be a pilot; you will be the operator of a complete testing ecosystem that includes both high-performance FPV drones and our cutting-edge ground-based detection and counter-drone units.
Your mission is to validate our technology in the real world. One day you might be piloting an agile quadcopter to simulate a threat, acting as the "Red Team" to test our system’s limits. The next, you will be on the ground, setting up and operating our detection arrays, calibrating sensors, and ensuring our counter-drone prototypes are tracking targets with precision. You are the hands-on expert who ensures our hardware—whether in the sky or on the tripod—performs flawlessly.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the design of dual-use technologies in the Defense and Drone sectors. You will work side-by-side with R&D engineers to analyze how our vision systems perform from both the drone’s perspective and the ground station's perspective, gathering the critical data needed to build safer, smarter autonomous solutions.
As a Field Test Specialist at Neurobus, you will:
Lead Integrated Field Tests: Organize and execute complex field campaigns that involve deploying both aerial drones (targets/platforms) and ground-based counter-drone systems (detection/neutralization).
Simulate Real-World Scenarios: Act as an operational expert to simulate various flight profiles—from hovering to high-speed FPV maneuvers—to rigorously test the tracking and detection capabilities of our systems.
Analyze System Performance: Monitor and evaluate the behavior of the entire ecosystem (air and ground), providing the engineering team with detailed feedback on detection latency, tracking accuracy, hardware reliability and other field requirements.
Safety & Security Logic: Define and enforce strict safety perimeters and protocols for both flight operations and the operation of active ground-based defense equipment.
Hardware Setup & Optimization: Manage the physical deployment of ground stations, ensuring proper calibration of sensors and optics, while also maintaining the airworthiness of the drone fleet.
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with partners, subcontractors, military end-users, and test facilities to schedule campaigns, ensuring all logistical and regulatory requirements are met.
