Neoplants is an early stage biotech start-up working on the first generation of bioengineered plants to fight air pollution. Indoor air pollution is up to 5 times higher than outdoors and due to a specific type of pollutants called VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) which are constantly emitted from many things we have indoors (paints on the walls, pieces of furniture, household products). As we spend 90% of our time indoors, chronic exposure to this pollution leads to major health issues (asthma, allergies, cancers) and huge drops in productivity.
We create plants that can effectively capture and “recycle” these pollutants to purify the air in your home. Our longer term ambition is to leverage our technologies for other large scale applications such as carbon capture and storage, in order to fight climate change in a biological and sustainable manner. We are backed by top tier Silicon Valley and European investors and are currently based in Paris, France.
