Job Description

As a Blockchain Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure of Nefture. You’ll write and maintain ETLs and ELT and their orchestration in order to serve and feed our APIs.

Responsabilities

  • Crawl and ingest data from various sources

  • Create scalable systems to solve different problems using modern data stack and industry best practices.

  • Design database schemas that are performant, scalable, and maintainable

  • Continuously build and maintain best data quality practices.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience/strong interest in blockchain

  • Experience in data engineering projects, specifically in data infrastructure projects.

  • Advanced knowledge of modern data pipeline architecture and cloud platforms, AWS preferred

  • Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modelling decisions and data engineering strategies.

  • Hands-on design experience with data pipelines, joining data between structured and unstructured data.

  • Knowledge of data pipeline tools: Apache Airflow, DBT, etc.).

  • Fluent in Python and SQL, Jinja is nice to have

  • Experience using APIs and data scraping

  • Comfortable with cloud services best practices

  • Using docker as a deployment solution

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, and build processes, CI/CD.

  • Comfort with infrastructure as code, Terraform/Terragrunt

  • Data cleansing, feature engineering, machine learning pipelines and models
