Sales Development Representative, Internship (M/F/X) | MatR

About

MatR (as in matter, because data matters) is a French early-stage startup building a next-generation data app platform. Incubated at Station F (Paris) and founded in 2025 by Victor (CEO), Thomas (CTO) and Camille (Chief Scientist Officer), we help data teams accelerate how they build data analysis, from descriptive analytics to predictive models, so small data teams can deliver as fast as large ones, ship use cases and get models into production without scaling headcount.

A 5-person team, 15+ B2B clients already in production , and a clear go-to-market focus: we are now building our commercial engine, and we're looking for someone to help the founders open the market.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, you build the top of the sales funnel:

  • Identify and qualify prospects within our target audience: data teams and data leaders (Head of Data, Data Analysts, Analytics / BI leads) in retail, e-commerce, SaaS and beyond

  • Build and enrich prospecting lists; keep the CRM clean and structured

  • Write and run outreach sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone), in French and English

  • Book qualified meetings for the founders

  • Bring the market back to us: objections, vocabulary, triggers, so you can feed our positioning and messaging with what you hear on the ground

  • Help the founders prepare sales materials and account briefs

You'll be trained in long-cycle B2B sales in a fast-growing market, in direct contact with data decision-makers (Head of Data, Lead Data Analyst, Analytics managers) and the stakeholders around them.

  • 6-month internship, starting as soon as possible (summer 2026, depending on availability)

  • Hybrid: based at Station F, with remote flexibility; occasional travel for events and conferences in France and Europe

  • Path to a full-time role: opportunity to convert into a permanent Account Executive position at the end of the internship, with variable compensation on results

Preferred Experience

  • End-of-studies internship (Master's / bac+5): engineering school with a commercial drive, business school, or university

  • Genuine interest in tech (AI, data, SaaS) and the ability to talk to both business and technical stakeholders

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential: you'll prospect French-speaking and international targets, with rigorous, polished communication with senior contacts

  • Excellent writing: you craft messages people actually want to open and read

  • Autonomy, tenacity, and a real taste for prospecting; volume and resilience don't scare you

  • A bias toward doing things that are useful, not just "sending emails"

  • Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-changing startup environment

  • First call with Victor CEO

  • Cas study

  • Final call with Thomas and Camille (CTO & CSO)
