With this ambition, L'Oréal continues to recruit diverse, innovative, skilled and passionate minds in different tech domains such as Data, Digital, Cloud, Cyber Security, IT Architecture, DevOps, Applications and Infrastructure.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

OPR is the world's leading Beauty Tech powerhouse. Our IT2030 transformation agenda is designed to accelerate this leadership, building the next generation of Technology that will power the future of Beauty.

Within this global transformation, the Enterprise Architecture & Integration (EA & Integration) entity serves as the Tech Spine of OPR. Our purpose is defined by a clear North Star:

  • Our Vision: Sovereign by ambition. Scalable by design. Driven by a tech-native mindset. We power the next frontier of Beauty Tech with purpose, resilience, and impact.
  • Our Mission: As the Tech Spine of OPR, we orchestrate the strategic foundations of Beauty Tech and make technology the engine of lasting transformation, paving the way for Beauty Tech's next era.

To deliver on this mission, OPR Beauty Tech and more specifically the Enterprise Architecture & Integration Function operates a federated operating model:

  • Global teams define integration standards, platforms and reusable capabilities
  • Zones co-own delivery and business outcomes

At the heart of this model, the Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) and associated integration services including Event-Driven architecture are mission-critical assets, supporting high-volume, business-critical flows across the Group combining APIs, messaging, eventing and batch integrations into a coherent scalable integration landscape.

What a day in the life of the Global EDA Product Owner looks like:

The Global EDA Product Owner is responsible for the success of EDA, APIGE Products that enable simple, secure and scalable data exchange across the Group. These products include business APIs, event streams, integration services, templates, connectors and self‑service assets used by multiple internal teams.

The Global EDA Product Owner is responsible for the success of EDA Products enabling real-time, event-driven data exchange across the Group. You drive the identification, marketing, enablement and acceleration of EDA use cases built on the Confluent platform, working in close partnership with the EDA Platform Owner.

This is an evolving role. As EDA adoption matures across L'Oréal, this position is expected to grow in scope and seniority from activating the first wave of use cases to eventually owning the full EDA product vision and shaping the next generation of real-time, event-driven capabilities at enterprise scale.

You manage the EDA product backlog and work with the engineering squad to maximize the value delivered, promote reuse, and ensure standardization of event-driven solutions. You work closely with business platform stakeholders, architects, data teams and engineering teams to design, prioritize and deliver EDA capabilities that unlock key business use cases.

Reporting Line: Global Architecture Solution & Engineering Lead

Key Interfaces:

  • Global Integration Engeneering Manager
  • Global Project teams
  • Global and Zone Integration teams
  • Enterprise and Solution Architects
  • Strategic integration technology partners (Confluent)

T HIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED!

First and foremost, we love people that are curious, collaborative, eager to have an impact, proactive and who value innovation, autonomy, and team spirit.

Secondly, in this specific position, it will be important for you to maximize the value, adoption and reuse of EDA products, and to drive the organization toward a scalable, event-driven integration model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify EDA use cases: proactively engage with business and tech teams to surface, qualify and prioritize use cases that benefit from an event-driven approach (real-time processing, decoupled integration, data streaming, CDC, etc.).
  • Market and evangelize EDA capabilities: build and execute an internal go-to-market strategy for the EDA platform including demos, playbooks, success stories, and communication assets to drive awareness and adoption across zones and domains.
  • Enable use case delivery: act as the primary enabler for teams onboarding onto the EDA platform; provide guidance, reusable event design patterns, self-service tooling and documentation to accelerate time-to-value.
  • Accelerate EDA adoption: identify recurring event patterns, challenge one-off implementations, and transform successful use cases into reusable EDA products (topics, schemas, connectors, reference architectures) available in the event catalog.
  • Position EDA within the broader integration landscape: advise teams on when event-driven patterns are the right choice vs. APIs, iPaaS or batch and collaborate with the Integration PO to ensure consistency across the HIP ecosystem.
  • Own the EDA product backlog: structure and prioritize the backlog, write and refine user stories, and work with the squad to deliver MVPs and iterations that can be progressively reused beyond the initial use case.
  • Productize and industrialize EDA assets: ensure that event streams and connectors are documented, versioned, catalogued and SLA-bound, driving reuse and governance across the Group.
  • Coordinate with platform, security and data governance teams to ensure compliance with architecture, security and regulatory requirements (schema governance, data lineage, GDPR, etc.).
  • Monitor EDA product KPIs (adoption, throughput, incidents, consumer count) and drive continuous improvement actions with the squad.
  • Contribute to documentation, release notes, demos and training to support onboarding of new EDA consumers and producers.

This role is accountable for the long-term sustainability, adoption and business impact of L'Oréal's EDA products. Specifically, the Global EDA Product Owner is accountable for:

  • Own the global success of assigned EDA Products and drive the shift from ad-hoc event integration to a product‑driven EDA model.
  • Define and maintain the vision, scope and backlog for EDA Products within scope.
  • Identify, qualify and activate EDA use cases across the Group, working with business and tech teams.
  • Build and execute the internal go-to-market strategy to promote EDA adoption at scale.
  • Enable and accelerate teams to deliver event-driven use cases on the Confluent platform with speed and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with architecture, security and data governance standards in all integration designs and deliveries.
  • Promote reuse and standardization of event-driven solutions across platforms and zones.
  • Advise on integration approach selection (EDA vs. API vs. iPaaS) and ensure coherence with the broader HIP strategy.
  • Collaborate with the EDA Platform Owner to align product roadmap with platform capabilities and evolution.
  • Ensure compliance with architecture, security, data governance and schema management standards.
  • Foster effective collaboration with business, platform, architecture and practice teams.
  • Drive EDA adoption and activation with the Practice Lead: Deliver the trainings and run awareness sessions to accelerate the shift to event-driven practices across zones and teams.
  • Alignment with EA & Integration strategy: Ensure EDA product decisions support IT2030 objectives, sovereignty, resilience and long-term agility.

Key Requirements:

Seniority & Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience in integration and/or Product Management or similar role in a large complex organization
  • Strong background in integration at large: Event Streaming, APIs, iPaaS, messaging and batch flows
  • Proven ability to drive technology adoption and build go-to-market strategies for internal platforms
  • Experience working in global, distributed environments

Technical expertise & Hard skills

  • Solid understanding of integration concepts: APIs (REST/GraphQL), iPaaS (e.g. Workato), batch/ETL, messaging and how EDA complements them within the integration landscape
  • Deep knowledge of EDA concepts: Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, schemas, connectors, stream processing (ksqlDB / Flink)
  • Experience working with iPaaS solutions (e.g. Workato or similar).
  • Ability to read and challenge high level technical designs and data flows with architects and engineers.
  • Practical experience with agile tools and documentation (Confluence, AsyncAPI, event catalog tooling).

Soft skills & Mindset
  • Strong product mindset: focus on value, reuse and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Evangelist profile: able to market complex technical capabilities in a compelling way to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, able to make complex topics simple for non technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management to drive adoption without formal authority
  • Team player, able to collaborate effectively with the EDA Platform Owner and align on priorities
  • Analytical and structured, able to prioritize, make trade off decisions and manage uncertainty.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Progressive simplification of the integration landscape through EDA-driven decoupling. Number of EDA use cases identified, qualified and successfully activated across the Group.
  • Increase in adoption metrics: active Confluent topics, consumer teams onboarded, event throughput across business domains.
  • Growth of the reusable EDA product catalog (event schemas, connectors, reference patterns).
  • Positive feedback from internal customers on EDA Products and support.
  • Alignment of EDA platform evolution with IT2030 strategic objectives.
