Employee Engagement/Internal Communication Manager

Research & Innovation (R&I)

Location: Clichy, France

About the Role

At L'Oréal's Research & Innovation (R&I) Communication & Engagement team, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Employee Engagement Communication Manager. This pivotal role is essential for shaping and amplifying our internal communication strategy. You will be instrumental in driving key initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring our employees are connected, empowered, and aligned with L'Oréal's R&I vision and values.

Reporting to the Employee Engagement & Communication Director, this position requires a seasoned professional capable of managing complex projects, influencing diverse stakeholders, and leading critical communication initiatives with significant autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

As an Employee Engagement Communication Manager, your missions will be articulated around three main pillars:

  1. Digital Lead
    1. Drive the strategic evolution and animation of the R&I Intranet, including leading its complete redesign and optimization (user experience, content architecture, and performance metrics).
    2. Orchestrate technical and content migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions.
    3. Manage the platform on a daily basis.
  2. Activation
    1. Lead the R&I newsletter in terms of structure, content selection, technical improvement, KPI follow-up.
    2. Lead and execute communication campaigns for significant events and initiatives, such as " Pulse," "Ethics Day," and annual "Best Wishes" campaigns, from conceptualization to post-event analysis.
    3. Develop & activate communication plans around cybersecurity awareness.
  3. Messaging reference person
    1. Serve as a key communication point of contact for various core departments and regions: Innovation Métiers & Product Development, SRCM, Finance, Open Innovation & Augmented Beauty, Human Relations as well as Japan and Brazil.

Preferred Experience

Your Profile

  • Education: Master's degree in Communication, Digital Marketing, Journalism, or a closely related field.


  • Professional Experience: An extensive background of 8-12 years in internal communication or corporate communications, with a proven track record of designing and executing impactful strategies within a complex, international organization. Experience in a leadership or highly autonomous role is highly valued. Experience at L'Oréal is a significant plus.


  • Strategic & Technical Acumen:
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
    • Project management skills.
    • Editorial and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to simplify highly technical or scientific information into clear, engaging, and inspiring content.
    • Expertise in digital communication platforms, including knowledge of intranet ecosystems (SharePoint expertise is a significant asset) and digital analytics.


  • Languages: Full professional fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory. French proficiency is a strong advantage.
