Lengo AI is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive the growth of our geomapping service and expand our footprint in emerging markets. As our first BDR, you will play a crucial role in identifying, engaging, and converting high-value FMCG prospects at both local and HQ levels.

Key Responsibilities:

πŸ“Œ Lead Generation & Outreach

  • Identify and qualify FMCG leads across emerging markets, targeting decision-makers at HQ & regional levels.

  • Run outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls) to secure meetings.

  • Own the top-of-funnel sales pipeline and track progress using CRM tools.

πŸ“Œ Sales Development

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' needs and position Lengo AI’s value.

  • Work closely with the founding team to hand off qualified leads and support deal closure.

  • Continuously refine outreach strategies based on market feedback.

πŸ“Œ Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Research industry trends, competitors, and potential growth opportunities.

  • Provide insights to improve sales messaging and positioning.

  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to generate leads and increase brand awareness.

Preferred Experience

You’ll be great for this role if:

βœ… Previous internship or 6-12 months of experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or business development (FMCG/SaaS preferred).

βœ… Strong hunter mentality – proactive, persistent, and goal-driven.

βœ… Excellent communication & persuasion skills (written & verbal).

βœ… Passion for emerging markets, AI, and transforming retail.

βœ… Fluency in English (French is a plus).

βœ… Looking for an end of study internship or first job.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial screening call with HR to assess basic qualifications and cultural fit

  • Technical assessment or case study related to sales and business development

  • Role-play exercise simulating a sales call or client interaction with the cofounder in charge of sales
