Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Chief of Staff to join our ambitious and innovative team in central Paris. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives outside their comfort zone, is passionate about biotech, and is eager to help shape the future of an early-stage start-up. Roles & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be diverse, but these are the main areas you'll focus on:

· Funding: Identify, apply for and secure grant funding and report to grant authorities where required and support the CEO with preparation of materials for investor relations and fundraising.

· Market & Competition: Research emerging technologies and competitors in the space and assess new market opportunities.

· Legal: Support in intellectual property management, contracts, legal negotiations and corporate governance.

· Company Operations: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations through data storage management and communication channels and assist in financial reporting with our accountant to report to the CEO.

· Communications & Branding: Elevate the company’s profile through strategic communication channels and participation in key industry events.

· Human Resources: Identify and recruit top talent to the team and implement internal processes to optimize company operations.

· Opportunity Scouting: Identify key opportunities arising in the ecosystem to support the company's development, including incubation programs and networking events, in France and worldwide.

· Company Growth: Work closely with the CEO on all aspects of company growth, focusing on commercial strategy.

Preferred Experience

Your Profile

· Education: Master’s degree from a top-tier institution in Science, Engineering, Law, Business, or a related field.

· 3+ years of professional experience in Consulting, Law, Engineering, Finance, Pharma/biotech or Startups.

· A genuine interest in the biotechnology sector.

· Demonstrated ability to lead and execute time-sensitive projects independently, handling multiple stakeholders.

· Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with basic financial models.

· Strong presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.

· Experience reporting on market trends & synthesizing reports.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Quick to grasp complex scientific concepts and ideas, and willing to step outside your comfort zone.

· Team player mindset with a commitment to going above and beyond.

· Fluent in English.
