Kulipa helps people and merchants in different parts of the world, where the currency and banking system are unstable, to enjoy economic prosperity without needing to learn new tools.

Our first product is a visa/mastercard that does not require a bank account and allows users to hold USD and EUR, regardless of where those users live. We make use of blockchain / crypto for store of value ("stablecoins").

Job Description

🚧 This is not your typical SWE role

This is a rare opportunity to have far more scope and skin in the game than most jobs offer - while still being paid competitively.

With only a handful of other employees, you will be expected to seed many parts of the business. every decision and every line of code counts: Your work will lay the foundation for our future.

  • Lead and influence our software architecture and product.

  • Work in a tight knit team, and on an exciting business challenge.

  • Own the processes, from system design to shipping ambitious features

Preferred Experience

  • 👋 Qualifications

    • You like challenges and your attitude is "yes, and" (rather than "no, but").
    • This is a hands on role. You should be excited and experienced in coding.
    • You have architected software systems in previous roles, including code, data, deployment, maintenance.
    • We mainly code in Typescript. It's fine if your experience is in other languages, as long as you are willing to learn typescript towards the interview with us.
    • You have 7+ years of previous XP
    • You are available immediately
