Job Description

This position is based in Paris.

As VP People, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all People Management aspects within our organization: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & People Operations. This is an essential leadership position where you will be responsible for building a high-performing team over time. You will report directly to the CEO and be a member of the Steering Committee.

By joining Joko, you will have the opportunity to grow the team today composed of the People Operations Manager and the Office Manager.

As the VP of People, you will be responsible for:

  • Talent Acquisition & Marketing

    • Drive the hiring activity with clear performance indicators
    • Implement effective hunting strategies to identify and recruit the best talents
    • Streamline interview processes and ensure we offer an outstanding candidate experience
    • Enhance employer branding
    • Develop partnerships with schools and communities to attract top talent
  • People Growth & care

    • Challenge and improve our onboarding program
    • Improve the performance review process to drive employee growth
    • Implement learning and development initiatives to resource all our talents
    • Create a people development path for our team members
    • Work closely with managers to offer proactive training & job opportunities
    • Foster employees’ well-being through surveys and initiatives
  • People Operations

    • Manage the compensation program, including salary structures, incentives and benefits
    • Handle legal topics, including compliance and working contracts
    • Oversee the payroll processes
    • Build the right KPIs & processes
  • Company Culture

    • Reinforce the company culture as the company grows to foster our team's best possible work environment
    • Translate our culture into assessment and development tools
    • Organize offsites and company events

Preferred Experience

  • Experience: You have ten years of experience in the People function and have managed a team, ideally in a fast-growing environment.

  • Languages: You are fluent in French and English (as our team is international), both written and spoken

  • Communication: You are clear, synthetic and eloquent. You can explain something complex with simple words

  • Interpersonal skills: You convey enthusiasm and energy. You are known for building trustful relationships with the people you work with. You are empathetic, capable of understanding people’s feelings whilst keeping an adjusted posture

  • Mindset: You are passionate about People challenges and dedicated to helping teams grow. You are solution and impact-oriented. You are excited to build and scale your vision into structured programs

  • Attention to details: You know that the devil is in the details, and you have a talent for spotting flaws if there are any
