☎️ Our B2B Team

"Nothing stops them from getting the best deals for Joko users. The B2B team's mission is to develop and grow Joko's merchant network, and available offers."

The B2B team is divided between our three business lines at Joko: Online, Card-Linked, and Gift Cards.

  • For the Online team, Account Managers are in charge of growing and managing our portfolio of e-commerce partners, directly with e-merchants or through our relationship with affiliate marketing platforms.

  • As for Card-Linked, our Sales team is in charge of signing Enterprise deals with top-tier retailers with physical stores, and Account Managers are in charge of growing long-lasting partnerships.

  • Finally, for the Gift Cards team, Account Managers are in charge of growing and managing the portfolio of brands and retailers, through relations with providers and in direct relationships with merchants.

Led by Nicolas, our CRO, we are a vibrant team full of energy! We work closely with other teams to give the best experience to our partners and build strong long-term relationships. We are a small but unstoppable squad that manages millions of euros in contracts thanks to our outstanding team members and a deep sense of camaraderie. We don't take ourselves too seriously and make sure that the journey is a blast!

🎯 What you will do

As Head of Gift Cards, you will lead the business line end-to-end and manage a 4-person team to take it to the next level. Launched a little over 2 years ago, the Gift Cards business line is the latest one to be launched at Joko, and is already growing very fast with €100M+ in GMV. You will report directly to Nicolas (Co-founder & CRO) and work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to accelerate the business in France and internationally.

  • Growth & performance: You will grow the business line from €100M to €1bn+ GMV, after we brought it from €0 to €100M in the past 2 years.

  • Management: You will manage and grow the Gift Cards high-performing team to support continued scale.

  • International expansion: You will scale the business line in the US and launch it in new markets, building strong partnerships with local gift card providers and PSPs.

  • Monetization: You will increase revenue by signing new merchants and improving commission rates.

  • Cross-functional leadership: You will coordinate Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to improve the gift cards experience in the app and increase its penetration and usage across our user base.

  • Ownership: You will fully own the Gift Cards P&L, optimizing for revenue and margin growth.

  • Experience: You have 10+ years of professional experience in fast-paced environments, ideally in tech or startups.

  • Go-to-market: You have solid go-to-market experience. Experience with country launches or international expansion is a strong plus.

  • Management: You have significant managerial experience, including hiring and developing high-performing teams.

  • Project management: You have excellent execution skills, drive roadmaps with rigor, and collaborate effectively across teams. You are fond of productivity tools and able to deliver on time on projects with many stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit: You thrive in fast-changing environments and you are biased toward action.

  • Languages: You are fluent in English and French.

  • Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges, you welcome feedback and you love constantly learning and getting better.

🤝 Our hiring process

  1. Intro call: Quick screening with the Hiring Manager or the Talent team.

  2. Step 1 – Team interview (45 min): Conversation with two Joko team members (could include the Hiring Manager, people from the team you’d join, or colleagues from other teams).

  3. Step 2 – Role-specific assessments

    • For non-tech roles: Take-home case study followed by a 45 min interview. We assess both your output and how you think in real time. The exercise will be relevant to the role (e.g. analysis, strategy, or process design).

    • For tech roles: Live technical interviews:

      • Coding interview + System design interview

      • For research internships, an additional round may involve analyzing and presenting a research paper

  4. Step 3 – Leadership interview (45 min): Conversation with a SteerCo member and a Founder.

  5. References: Up to 3 calls with former colleagues or managers.
