Internship Description:
As part of the ongoing enhancement of our production processes, we are seeking a final-year engineering intern to work on improving our existing quality detection systems based on image analysis. The goal is to refine and optimize current systems to ensure the highest level of excellence in product quality that we are committed to delivering to our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
Analyze and assess the performance of the existing image analysis systems for detecting quality parameters in lab-grown leather (such as irregularities in texture, uniformity, or thickness).
Optimize image processing methods (segmentation, defect identification, etc.) to improve the precision and speed of detection.
Enhance current machine learning or deep learning models to boost the systems' ability to detect subtle variations.
Collaborate closely with the Applied Research team (biologists, chemists, engineers) as well as members of the industrialization team to ensure system improvements align with product quality standards and can be effectively integrated into production.
Document system improvements and create standardized procedures for transfer to manufacturing teams, ensuring proper use of the enhanced detection systems.
Propose and implement modifications or upgrades to the existing system to increase robustness and scalability.
Participate in regular project progress reviews and communicate findings effectively.
