Faircraft is developing a sustainable alternative to leather based on cell culture.

Faircraft is seeking a Physical Chemistry Engineer to join its applied research team. You will contribute to the physico-chemical characterization of Faircraft’s materials and leathers. You will be responsible for executing material development tasks from design through to optimization for industrial production.

Profil recherché

Main Tasks

  • Participate in the research of components and manufacturing methods for materials used in Faircraft leather production.

  • Fabrication, physico-chemical and mechanical characterization of materials used in the production of Faircraft leathers.

  • Structural characterization of materials and leathers produced by Faircraft.

  • Technology transfer, quality control of manufacturing and characterization methods of Faircraft materials and products to the industrialization teams.

  • Scientific and technological monitoring related to your projects, and presenting results within the research teams.

Profile

  • Education: Engineering degree or Master's in physical chemistry (Bac +5), macromolecular or polymer chemistry, materials chemistry, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of physical and chemical characterization techniques for materials and polymers.

  • Knowledge of microscopic characterization techniques (optical and scanning electron microscopy) for materials.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Curiosity, autonomy, and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.

  • Optional: Experience working with materials intended for biology and/or cell culture is a plus.
