Descriptif du poste

We are looking for a skilled Bioprocess Engineer to work in our Industrialisation team. Your role will be to design, test and implement our bioproduction systems lab to a large manufacturing scale requiring a pluridisciplinary and systems approach. You will work with a team of world-class Faircraft scientists, engineers and technicians to design innovative solutions needed to scale up production of our high quality cultivated leather.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sound scientific expertise and hands-on efforts to lead the development of the high-level system architecture for the biomanufacturing bespoke systems.
  • Lead the development and implementation of multi phenomenon simulations to design the biomanufacturing bespoke systems.
  • Lead the development of the biomanufacturing bespoke systems based on the requirements of the final product. These may be novel or off the shelf solutions with system interfaces to the entire production unit operations.
  • Lead the task from conception through to detailed design for the production of cell based materials at Faircraft.
  • Participate in the implementation of bespoke technological solutions
  • Assist in developing detailed transfer protocols and training for the manufacturing teams
  • Participate in experiments on evaluating process parameters to test the bespoke systems
  • Clearly document design, installation and operational procedures for the bespoke systems: lab-scale, pilot-scale and manufacturing scale experiments
  • Collaborate with the Applied Research team to design, create, test and improve bioprocesses to scale our technology from the lab to manufacturing scales.
  • Contribute to developing and testing systems to ensure the quality products.
  • Assist in searching and ordering critical equipment, raw materials, and reagents required for projects
  • Participate in the day-to-day lab operations

Profil recherché

  • Engineering or PhD. Degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related field.

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in bioprocess engineering, process development, laboratory / large scale manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of cell culture, biomanufacturing in adherent and suspension modes and downstream bioprocess operations is a plus.

  • Ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative and technically viable solutions for scale.

  • Effective communication and time management skills.

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in English.
