We are looking for a skilled biochemist to join our Applied Research team. Your knowledge in biomolecule extraction, purification and characterization will be needed to fulfill your missions at Faircraft. You will be part of a highly skilled and interdisciplinary team of world-class scientists working in the development of our high quality cultivated leather.
Responsibilities :
Perform and optimize processes for extraction and purification of biomolecules from various sources.
Perform biochemical and functional characterization of extracted biomolecules.
Evaluate the compatibility of the produced biomolecules with cell cultures.
Conduct studies to evaluate and improve quality and yield of biomolecules, ranging from lab-scale to pilot plant and manufacturing scale.
Maintain records of experimental results and contribute to the writing protocols and SOPs.
PhD in Protein Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field.
Experience in biomolecule extraction, purification and characterization, including FPLC/HPLC chromatography.
Preferred: Experience in eukaryotic cell culture under a microbiological safety cabinet in sterile conditions.
Great interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in English.
