Job Description

We are seeking a Senior R&D Lead to contribute to our technology design and scientific direction.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, shaping the next generation of acoustic metamaterials and driving the transition from advanced research to industrial products.

You will work directly with the founding team and play a key role in technology differentiation, IP strategy, and product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and optimization of acoustic metamaterials

  • Define and drive the scientific and technical roadmap

  • Oversee numerical modeling and simulation strategies (COMSOL, wave physics)

  • Translate research into scalable, manufacturable designs

  • Guide experimental validation and testing strategy

  • Contribute to IP development and patent strategy

  • Support technical discussions with industrial partners and investors

  • Build and mentor a high-level R&D team over time

Preferred Experience

Experience:

  • 10+ years in acoustic metamaterials, wave physics, or advanced acoustics

  • Proven track record in research and/or industrial innovation

Education:

  • PhD / Postdoc / Professor-level in Acoustics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of acoustic wave phenomena and metamaterial design

  • Strong experience in low-frequency acoustics

  • Advanced proficiency in numerical modeling (e.g., COMSOL Multiphysics)

  • Experience bridging research → industrial application

  • Strong publication and/or patent background in acoustics is a plus
