Our mission at Point & Click is to solve legacy processes that waste countless human hours but should be automated today thanks to the progress of AI.

We are building a semantic index of the web that turns UIs into reliable and robust APIs that can serve as building blocks to express any kind of automations, from getting receipts on various providers where there is no API, e.g. Anthropic, to connect complex IT systems that are difficult to integrate from a backend perspective.

Our first product is a Chrome Extension that allows an AI Agent to pilot users’ browser to collect invoices and post them on the desired platform, e.g. Mercury or Qonto. This is only an instantiation of our core technology to solve a precise pain, and we intend to both release more specialized Agents and a developer platform to scale the creation of production ready agents.

Our team

We are a new French startup with three experienced repeat founders, Daniel (CEO), Louis (CTO) and Raphaël (COO), and we've just raised over €2.5 million.

Daniel and Raphaël co-founded Mithril Security which

  • collaborated with OpenAI to deploy privacy-by-design LLMs using hardware-based secure enclaves with our open-source project

  • launched LaVague, the first open-source AI Web Agent in 2024 which hit 6k stars.

  • sold the company to H Company, a company founded by Deepmind engineers which raised $220M

Louis Abraham is a leading AI engineer and researcher experienced in building impactful products. In the past, he

  • co-founded Secrecy, where he developed an end-to-end encryption platform and patented cryptographical protocols

  • collaborated with Stanford on breakthrough biomedical machine learning research

  • was a finalist of ICPC, the most prestigious competitive programming contest in the world

Job Description

To help us on our mission to revolutionize web tasks, we're looking for an exceptional software engineer to join us as a second employee to help on various tasks, such as (but not only):

  • Core Tools (cf Anthropic definition) that will be used by our Web Agent

  • Core Agent logic

  • Core software for our Chrome Extension

  • Core backend infrastructure (scheduling of Agents, scaling, etc.)

As a founding engineer, you'll have full ownership of projects you provided to you. You'll work directly with the CEO/CTO to ship high quality code to both deliver unique experiences for our users, while ensuring the quality of the codebase to keep a high velocity.

Preferred Experience

  • Software engineering expertise, with proficiency in Python

  • First principle thinking to generate compact, easy to maintain and optimized code

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to different environments / stacks / roles

  • Problem solver mindset and willingness to do whatever it takes to ship

  • French is not mandatory but is preferred

Recruitment Process

  1. Take home assignment: If your resume matches our requirements, you will receive a take-home assignment that you have to deliver within a week

  2. One to one with CTO:  If your assignment meets our criteria, you will be invited for a one hour technical interview with Louis our CTO, for a Python live coding interview (AI tools are authorized, e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)

  3. One to one with rest of founding team: If it works with Louis, you will meet Daniel and Raphaël for a final motivation / fit interview

We are looking for someone available ASAP and we can make an offer in less than 24h after the last step (as long as you prove you are truly exceptional).
