Started in 2017 and based in Paris (Station f), Casablanca and Dakar, SOWIT is providing decision support tools to African farmers to help them optimize their most critical operations. Farmers wonder everyday if they really need to fertilize, irrigate or if it is the right time to harvest. Thanks to its drone remote-sensing, statistics and agronomic technologies, SOWIT provides them with the right information at the right moment to decide and drive efficiently their operations.
Africa is the last growth frontier for the world food production as it holds almost 60% of arable available land while showing the lower yields worldwide. To meet the world (and especially African) demand, African farmers would need to increase their production by 70% by 2050 in a complex context of global warming. At SOWIT, we believe data-driven decision are a key component to drive the African green revolution in a sustainable and profitable way for African farmers and the World.
SOWIT is looking for a multitasking Marketing and Communication Lead who will basically work across all the Marketing spectrum with a strong focus on growth hacking and content to help improving SOWIT positioning on the market.

*Main tasks/roles *

  1. Strategic Marketing
    Helping SOWIT better understand its market through competition analysis, product testing, customer feedbacks
    Working with the Product team on SOWIT product adoption
    Developing an innovative marketing strategy based on SOWIT mission

  2. Community Management
    Growing SOWIT online community
    Growing SOWIT field presence in Africa
    Creating events for farmers

  3. Content
    Creating SOWIT content (leaflets, roll-ups..)
    Improving SOWIT regular communication (blogs, webinars..)
    Leading SOWIT content strategy

  4. Conference and fair management
    Managing SOWIT presence in agriculture and technology fairs and show

Profil recherché

  • Curious about African development
  • Experience or strong interest in Agriculture
  • Able to multitask and to deep dive in a fast-paced start-up environment and get involved in a fast developing venture
  • Comfortable with creation software (photoshop)
  • Bias for action and willing to drive operations
