Job Description

At Scortex, we are automating visual quality inspection. Depending on customers use cases, defect definitions can vary and require various approaches, sensors or lighting system.

As a proactive member of the technical team, your work will include a varied range of activities around industrial vision system design:

  • Analyse use case description and samples to define theoretical vision systems constraints
  • Test and select lighting, camera, lens configurations in order to solve quality control use case
  • Specify (sensors, lenses, filters, lights, ...) and then validate industrial inspection ready vision system
  • Make state of art review about different acquisition technologies (deflectometry, computational imaging, polarimetry)
  • Set up experiments and proof of concepts of such solutions at the Scortex lab

Preferred Experience

  • Solid background in optics, sensors and photonics
  • Proven experience in use and experiments with optical and vision systems
  • Understanding of vision system trends (3D imaging, computational imaging, polarimetry)
  • Experience with programming language (python) and image processing is a plus
