Regen Insight is a tech start-up developing climate monitoring solutions and financing services for regenerative farmers.

Today agriculture amounts to up to 25% of global greenhouse gasses emissions, while the large-scale adoption of climate friendly practices could turn agricultural soils into one of the largest carbon sinks in the world by withdrawing carbon from the atmosphere. In this global effort to solve climate change, Regen Insight has pledged to ease the journey of farmers into regenerative agriculture.

Backed by some of the best investors, including Mirova and Anthemis, and after 3 years of R&D, Regen Insight has launched a leading carbon monitoring and certification infrastructure for food companies, farming cooperatives, or carbon project developers who want to support farmers in their transition.

The Regen Insight platform displays a unique set of strengths in the world:

  • farmers can onboard and enter their data in less than 1h (10 to 20x faster than industry standards - for thousands of data points)
  • carbon models meeting the highest scientific standards (notably compliant with the Label Bas Carbone or the ISO 14 064 norm)
  • full integration between carbon monitoring tools and verification solutions for an optimal certification process

Regen Insight is the success story behind Rize, and supports projects in France, Romania and Spain.

Regen Insight was founded in September 2020 under the Rize brand, and has since grown to a team of nearly 20 people. Now, as the project has gained traction and raised funds, Regen Insight and Rize are becoming progressively independent. And we are now recruiting a dream team to bring Regen Insight to the European scale.

Job Description

Job summary

We are looking for a talented business developer intern who will drive Regen Insight to a successful European expansion.

You will be entrusted to run our sales processes, taking responsibility for one specific segment of partners or a specific geography.

You will be in charge of scaling the deployment of our solution in agricultural ecosystems, via the creation of new partnerships with players such as:

  • agri-food businesses looking to achieve their sustainability goals

  • farming cooperatives, farm networks, grain buyers, and all sorts of technical advisors, looking for solutions to enable their network of farms to transition to regenerative agriculture

  • project developers, interested to develop new financing schemes for regenerative farmers

What you will do

The main responsibilities attached to the role are:

  • Build a pipeline of qualified leads, managing all steps from sourcing to closing

  • Partner with the CSM team to ensure partners satisfaction and growth after closing

  • Maintain all relevant sales materials, including funnel, commercial and technical presentations, demos or scripts

  • Represent Regen Insight at relevant events and engage with targeted prospects

You will work with Audrey, Head of innovation & new markets, and with a team of business developers currently being recruited.

As Regen Insight is a start-up, the internal career evolutions are limitless and you will naturally have plenty of opportunities to be proactive and work on activities outside of the direct scope of your role.

Place of work

Although Regen Insight is based in Paris (our offices are in Station F), we enjoy the comfort of working remotely from home while getting occasions to have meaningful in-person interactions.

We are currently in flex office mode, so we enjoy the best of both worlds, the flexibility that comes with working from home and great team moments when we all meet together in the office (usually 2 to 3 days each week).

Preferred Experience

We are looking for the following experience:

  • Sales experience in ag-tech or agriculture is desirable

  • English full business proficiency

  • French business proficiency is desirable

  • Other European languages are a very strong plus

  • A masters’ degree in business or agronomy is highly appreciated
