Full-Stack Software Engineer


At Revyze, we dream big. Our mission is to democratize access to high-quality education to everyone globally by personalizing learning.

We’re doing this by creating “the Tiktok of education”, a community- and AI-powered mobile app where students can learn through short videos and quizzes made by their peers.

A bit more about us:

  • The story so far: Since launching our app in Summer ‘22, we have reached 400k+ users, topped the French App store, and closed a €2m pre-seed round with world-class investors. While we started in France, we have global ambitions, and have recently launched in the US.

  • Team and community: Our team is currently 10+ people from top US and European start-ups. We are also supported in our mission by a community of hundreds of students - we’re building Revyze for them, with them!

  • Stack: We run on AWS, serverless, PostgreSQL, Python/Flask, GraphQL and React Native.

Job Description

The challenges that we will tackle in the coming years will help millions of students learn better together.

These include leveraging both user-generated content and generative AI to deliver a tailored learning experience for each student, engaging students through game-like interactions to help them develop their learning habits, and fostering a collaborative and safe digital community to empower tomorrow’s educators.

As one of the first engineers in a fast-growing B2C startup, you will take a central role in helping us meet these challenges by:

  • Brainstorming, scoping, and implementing our newest features from A to Z.

  • Improving our processes and stack to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

  • Contributing to building a healthy and engaging Engineering culture aligned with our values.

Preferred Experience

  • 3-10 years of experience in software development.

  • Interest in both frontend and backend development.

  • Bias to action: building impatiently but with care is at the core of what we do.

  • An appetite for AI: we are convinced that harnessing these technologies can help us advance our mission!

  • A team player: you like helping others solve issues, tech-related or not.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • You are comfortable tackling ambiguous problems and unblocking yourself.

  • Paris-based, or willing to regularly come to our offices at Station F to work together.

  • Mobile experience, AWS experience and an international mindset are a strong plus.

Recruitment Process

We’re always looking to improve our hiring process, but here’s what it currently looks like!

  • (30 - 45 minutes) An introduction call with Pedro (our Tech Lead).

  • (As long as you need) A take-home tech screening exercise.

  • (45 minutes) A follow-up interview with Anat (our CTO & co-founder).

  • (4 hours) A half-day visit to our offices at Station F, where we’ll work together on a tech toy project and you’ll get to meet the rest of the team and talk to Flo (co-founder).

  • (30 minutes) A conversation with Gui (co-founder) for product sense and company fit.

  • (30 minutes) Chat with a member of our community.
