Job Description

Neurobus is excited to offer an opportunity for passionate Neuromorphic Engineers specializing in AI and brain-machine interfaces.

Project Overview

Neurobus is exploring the use of neuromorphic technology for motor imagery decoding from EEG signals in collaboration with a major European industrial partner. The project involves designing an end-to-end setup that includes:

  • An EEG helmet

  • A neuromorphic processor (such as Intel's Loihi)

  • A spiking neural network model for motor command classification

  • Control of a robotic hand

Key Responsibilities

  • Stream data to and from the neuromorphic device, ensuring latency constraints are met

  • Render raw EEG data from the helmet and predictions from the machine learning model in a visual application

  • Collaborate with the Neurobus team to leverage state-of-the-art machine learning for neuromorphic computing

  • Participate in an exciting research project with our internationally renowned industrial partner

This opportunity is available as an internship, apprenticeship, or a permanent position, depending on the candidate's profile.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on mentality and passion for building innovative solutions

  • Experience with streaming data and ensuring latency constraints

  • Familiarity with EEG data and neuromorphic processors

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Previous experience in neuromorphic computing, AI, and brain-machine interfaces is a plus
