Job Description

NaTakallam Social Media Internship

Position:
Social media intern*
(Unpaid but with benefits)
*Part time:
15 hours/week
Location: * Fully remote
*Reporting to:
Marketing & Social Media Officer + CMO
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 3-6 months

Description:

The main purpose of the position is to assist NaTakallam’s Marketing & Social Media Manager with copywriting, editing, research and relevant social media tasks. The ideal applicant will possess excellent writing skills, research skills, attention to detail, global mindset and solid knowledge of the social media landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to our social media copy, monitoring our platforms, blog, community management, and more as relevant. Foreign language skills are highly desirable, notably in Arabic, French, Persian or Spanish.

Core responsibilities:

The intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
Researching and crafting engaging social media content on a weekly basis
Developing marketing messaging and materials
Inputting on the company’s social media strategy with the wider team
Scheduling posts across NaTakallam’s social media channels
Ensuring community management
Working with the team to create and implement campaigns based on an events calendar
Supporting content ideation and creation with appropriate external partners and influencers
Monitoring analytics and compiling performance reports and recommendations
Attending weekly team meetings (online conference call)
Completing other ad-hoc and/or relevant tasks, as assigned

Desired Skills:

Ease/experience working abroad or remotely
Globally curious/oriented mindset
Research experience/customer service is a plus
Interest in area of social entrepreneurship, cultures and languages
Proficiency in Arabic/French/Persian/Spanish is a bonus

Preferred Experience

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Current university student or a recent graduate (bachelor’s level or vocational training with a strong portfolio)
Excellent writing and editing skills, familiarity with social copy; notably when it comes to social media captions, blog pieces and the like
Excellent research skills to research content in line with NaTakallam’s social media guidelines/communications
Knowledge of the different social media channels & trends: FB, IG, T, LI, YouTube, TikTok
Self-motivated, organized and highly attentive to detail
Creative, brings new ideas to the table
Quick learner and efficient
Ability to work under pressure
Flexibility and ability to work independently in a fast paced, non-traditional environment
Ability to communicate well with others and maintain a professional demeanor
Commitment to the mission of NaTakallam
