Job purpose
To grow and strengthen NaTakallam’s educational partnerships focused on bringing language learning and cultural exchange to students (primary, secondary and higher education) around the world. These partnerships serve to create an ongoing flow of income opportunities for NaTakallam’s displaced Conversation Partners (CPs) and support the financial sustainability of the Academic Programs Department.

Duties and responsibilities
Further develop services and approaches to best meet the needs of clients and NaTakallam’s operational capacity
Lead efforts to further develop educational programming for a multitude of age groups
Support Tech Manager in efforts to implement tech solutions meeting the needs of all stakeholders in the department
Implement strategies recommended by 3rd party consultancies to improve financial sustainability of educational programming offered by the department
Manage the administration of a growing department
Develop annual objectives and key performance indicators
Develop and maintain annual and quarterly budgets and sales predictions
Maintain databases with financial and legal information relevant to current and previous clients via Airtable
Supervise 2 Education Coordinators and department interns
Lead regular check-ins, meetings and workshops for Education Coordinators and interns when relevant
Address issues and inquiries from Conversation Partners when needed
Lead outreach to secure new partnerships and education institution clients in the U.S. and around the world
Spearhead outreach, sales calls and demos with potential institutional clients through Salesmate
Find “out of the box” solutions to 3rd party funding needs of educational institutions
Work with marketing department to improve and maintain “Academic Programs” section on website
Work with Education Coordinators to improve visual materials on a yearly basis through Canva
Identify strategic events and conferences for the department to attend
Speak on behalf of NaTakallam at virtual and in-person events
Support and expand institutional and donor partnerships
Maintain relationships with current institutional partners, who provide financial and/or programmatic support to the department (including Qatar Foundation International and Teens of Color Abroad).
Maintain up-to-date grant reports
Lead partnership proposals and grant applications
Support current academic partnerships and program implementation
Maintain high-level understanding of ongoing partnerships with academic institutions
Manage scholarship administration to relevant clients
Support Education Coordinators in addressing larger scale customer support issues and needs
Monitor and evaluate student and client satisfaction in order to inform department strategy
Lead regular Conversation Partner trainings and workshops in tandem with Education Coordinators per feedback from clients
