Lynceus is building the first predictive OS for manufacturers. They use manufacturing data and process comprehension to predict the performance of goods and systems within factories. They eventually aim to integrate within the process control tools, and allow for powerful simulations of new process steps.

Semiconductor manufacturing is their first market, but they are also relevant for most high added-value manufacturing, with use cases proven in LED, battery, biopharma and chemical industries. 

Job Description

As a research data scientist, you will be one of the first members of the DS product team, which aims to develop reusable algorithms and achieve breakthroughs in performance through research activities.

In this regard, you will:

  • Be an active member of the construction and enrichment of the research team roadmap
  • Implement your ideas and bring significant advances to our algorithmic base
  • Build academic partnerships with laboratories and researchers working on our fields of interest
  • Promote your research internally to the rest of the DS team
  • Work on various subjects, such as transfer learning, semi-supervised learning and pattern extraction from time series
  • Get in touch with semiconductor industry and processes

Preferred Experience

Candidates should have the following qualities:

  • Preferably a PhD in statistics, machine learning, or related fields, or at least 3 years of experience in the design/research of custom ML learning algorithms
  • Strive to apply cutting-edge AI techniques
  • Good coding skills, notably for the development of ML algorithms written in Python
  • Excellent technical communication skills
  • Strong public speaking skills and eagerness to promote your team's work within the company
  • Fluent in English
