Descriptif du poste

Founded in 2019 by Alexis, Matthieu and Arnaud, Greenly’s mission is to allow everyone to track their carbon footprint more simply, to take part in the fight against climate change.

We add tech to carbon accounting to make it automatic for SMEs and individuals, by connecting to their finances. This lets them focus on what really matters: reducing their GHG emissions with better insights, and lower costs; adopting more sustainable spending patterns and engaging their ecosystem to navigate the energy transition. :pousse:

Greenly, fintech of the year 2020 and French Tech Green20, is now the leading carbon tracking tech. Since our foundation, we have made our tech available to 10 million people, adding impact measurement to banking apps. We have convinced tens of thousands of people to use our mobile app and more than 300 companies to trust us with their carbon footprint report. Now everyone can become a climate expert in their organization.

Context :

Digital activities represent between 4% and 5% of worldwide GHG emissions. Among these activities, cloud services see a very broad usage, yet remain a black box regarding related emissions. In order to tackle this issue, Greenly built from scratch models to compute the cloud usage of most important providers (AWS, GCP, Azure…).

This feature met a huge success, and a large part of Greenly’s client rely on it to compute a significant part of their emissions. This leads us to build an even more comprehensive tool, which requires new talents in our team. Current models already use state-of-the-art research works, and our goal is to go beyond this, and become a global reference in cloud emission computation.

Main tasks :

Manage clouds GHG emission models :

Audit the quality of cloud models, each specific to a cloud provider
Shape a Research & development roadmap to increase the precision of these models
Implement features and improvements listed on the roadmap
Manage the automation of these cloud models

Documentation, technical support :

Improve or re-design models in order to make it easy to use for members of the team
Document your work to ensure methodological clarity and readability of each model
Enhance the client’s experience with better data integrations, using APIs, and better showcasing of results

We are a fast-growing company, therefore this list is not exhaustive or immutable.
