Fintecture is a payment infrastructure offering immediate transfer, allowing merchants to collect payments easily.

Launched in 2020, the idea was born out of a simple analysis and yet ignored by all: traditional payments are too complex for merchants and a source of uncertainty for payers.

So, we took a crazy bet: reinventing the payment ecosystem by tackling the technological architecture of payments. Our role is to bring innovative solutions to an industry monopolised by historical players.

We have grown from a team of 7 to over 80 motivated and determined talents to rewrite the history of the payments’ industry. This team has enabled us to sign some fifteen big accounts, ranging from large retail such as Auchan and Leroy Merlin, to business services such as Edenred and Groupe Up, and even tech giants, in just six months.

In 2022, we are raising a total of $29m with the objective of positioning ourselves as the leader of account-to-account payments, doubling our business-volume every two months.

Job Description

We are the architects of the new Financial era driven by Open Banking.

We believe Open Banking will be a game changer for online businesses which can finally make collect payments cheaply and securely. Furthermore, Open Banking enables payment providers to build new and exciting Data Driven payment services which will revolutionize the online business sector. We want to be the leading provider of Open Banking driven payment services across the EU online commerce segment.

Furthermore, we offer an APIaaS platform to companies interested in growing their existing business and creating new revenue streams through Open Banking. We are connecting all EU based banks through a single API gateway providing access to account, transactional and personal information, and enabling regular and instant SEPA payments directly from a customer’s bank account. We let businesses benefit from Open Banking while we take care of all the technical, regulatory and commercial hassles.

Preferred Experience

Position Summary

We have a functional RESTFUL API platform connected to most French banks. Your role will be to enhance our continuous development tools, manage and optimize our scheduling tools, review our DRP processes, enhance our backup/restore tools, create QA scripts, monitor systems and applications logs, enhance our HA architecture.

More importantly, we are looking for a passionate person which is ready to go the extra mile, is always looking to improving the existing, and is ambitious to become a key player in a game changing startup.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of a full DevOps-based environment for continuous integration and continuous delivery, with high automation from unit tests to full deployment.
• Review and optimize the current HA infrastructure
• Take ownership of the ESX administration
• Contribute in the setup of a scheduler to manage all application / infra / devops / QA tasks
• Contribute to writing scripts for applicative, infrastructure and DevOps purposes
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the company’s software support model and directly participate to customer support.
• Participate to the definition, development and integration of Fintecture’s products and services for client needs.
• Collaborate very openly with colleagues from all other departments (regulatory, compliance, sales, customer success, operations, etc.) and be part of a culture of continuous improvement, providing very high-quality work required by the extremely high reliability, availability and security of systems we strive to achieve at Fintecture.

Desired Skills
• Strong knowledge in basic web languages (html, css, javascript)
• Knowledge of VMWare ESX Administration
• DevOps experience (setup and administration)
• Experience working in a High Availability context
• Prior knowledge of NodeJS, MySQL or equivalent
• Knowledge of AgendaJS or equivalent
• Comfortable in writing scripts in Python or equivalent
• Knowledge of using GIT or similar version control system
• At ease with Docker containers
• Automated testing frameworks and mock objects
